Activities


Log your work with agencies, even when they've not been assigned to you. You can log the following types of activities with any agency:

  • Web conference
  • Phone call
  • In-person visits
  • Industry event
  • Phone onboarding
  • Web onboarding

Use only Google Chrome. Vymo, as configured for Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, doesn't work as well with other browsers.

Logging an activity with an agency

Before you can log an activity, the agency must exist. If you don't see it, here's what to do:

  • Use the Search option (near the top of your screen) to look for it on the global list. If it exists, but isn't assigned to you, request the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies administrator to assign it to you.
  • If it's a prospect, add it as a prospect agency. See Adding a prospect agency.

To log an activity:

  1. Depending on where you are:
    • If you're on the home page, scroll down and click Log Activity.
    • If you're anywhere else, on the menu at the left, click Agency > Agency List. Click the row that contains the agency. On the agency dashboard, click Log Activity.
  2. Select the type of activity to log. Depending on your selection, a few other fields are displayed for you to enter data into.
  3. Select the agency for which you're logging the activity. Depending on your selection, the options in the Contacts list are made available to you. Select the person you met.
  4. Enter the information in the other fields. Depending on your inputs for the required fields, some more fields might become available to enter data in.
  5. Use the Notes field to enter any additional information about the agency or the activity. Doing so helps you and your team get a better picture about the agency and its potential.
  6. Click Add. The activity is logged.

Logging an activity with a contact

Before you can log an activity, verify that the contact record exists (how do I quickly find a contact?). If you don't see the contact, see Adding a contact.

  1. On the menu at the left, click Contacts > Contacts List.
  2. On the list, click the row that contains the contact you met.
  3. On the contact dashboard, click Log Activity.
  4. Select the type of activity to log. Depending on your selection, a few other fields are displayed for you to enter data in.
  5. Use the Notes field to enter any additional information. Doing so helps you and your team get a better picture about the contact.
  6. Click Add. The activity is logged.

Editing an activity

After an activity is logged, the only fields that you can edit are Objective and Notes. You can't search for an activity through the Search option; you must look for it on the activity list.

Tip

If you remember the agency against which the activity was logged, use the Search option to locate the agency, go to the agency dashboard, and look at the timeline to locate the activity.

  1. On the menu at the left, click Activities > Activities List.
  2. On the list, click the row that contains the activity to edit. Use the filter option (the three white horizontal lines near the top right) to whittle down the activities list.
  3. Click Update, make your changes, and click Update. The changes are saved.

Downloading the activities list

You can export the list of activities as a .xlsx file. The list is available to everyone across Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, regardless of agency assignment.

To download the list:

  1. On the menu at the left, click Activities > Activities List.
  2. Click Download list and wait for the report to be generated. When it's ready, the Download report button becomes available.
  3. Click Download report, and choose whether to only open the file and see it, or to save it to your computer as a .xlsx file.

The downloads that you triggered are listed at Others > Downloads.
