How to enable or disable lead states
The leads lifecycle can have several other states that happen between the time that a lead is opened and closed. You can disable any of these intermediate states from the leads lifecycle.
You can't disable the first and last states of a leads lifecycle.
Remember
When you disable a state, you can no longer use it in state transitions.
How to
- Log in to the Vymo web app and click the gear icon :octicons-gear-16: in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- In the Module Settings section, click the module that contains the state to be made unavailable.
- Click Lead Lifecycle.
-
Locate the state to disable, and move the slider to the left so that the color changes to grey.
-
When done, click Save near the top right. Then, release the changes.
Result
The state is no longer used in transitions.

Concepts
- What are states?
- Fields are attached to states (such as New, Assigned, or Closed). A state is a specific stage in the lifecycle of a lead record. A lead begins its life by being in a
New
state and ends with either aWon
or aLost
state. In this process, the lead can pass through several other states also. For example, when a new lead is assigned to someone, it can move to anAssigned
state, or when someone on your team fixes an appointment with a lead, the record might move to aMeeting scheduled
state.
The following image shows state fields for a leads record.
- Where are states used?
- In workflows. States go into workflows (such as schedule a call, meet and do stuff, or schedule a follow-up). The following diagram shows the default workflow of a new lead record.
